One of the newest release by Griffon in its 3rd series of Touhou project characters, this time of the Lunar Rabbit with the eyes of madness, Reisen Undongein Inaba. It is not a perfect figure but a beautifull one nevertheless.

I am pleased, for she came in her original suit and not the one featured in Touhou 9 and the fighting games. And i am happy to see this release since Reisen is my favorite character in Touhou. It was an instant pre-order for me.

The only bad point i've seen thus far is the mouth that seem to be displeasing to many, however i think it is actually cute. The eyes could have used to be a little more hazy to depict the mystic power of madness always emenating from em but its alright as well. Her face overall feels very cute whit a tad bit of joyfull playfullness.

The ears have been faithfully presented in the slightly frilly way as if they were made of fabric and she has kept the very long hair with it flowing in the air. Her uniform is complete with the blazer bearing the moon insignia, the short white-pinkish skirt, the baggy socks and well polished shoes.

She's posed with her trademark pointed has a gun hand reflecting her instant bullet creating/shooting ability seen on many fanarts and the official fighting games.

From the dating sim game to TV anime, They are my Noble Masters, this figure of Kuonji Shinra, headmaster of the Kuonji household, released by goodsmile is a marvelous sight to behold.

Complete with her removable cape and her usual high class clothing, this figure screams nobility and the pictures do not give her justice. I personally own her and she is a beauty to behold. Her black dress has been carefully painted at the trims and sleeves with gold colored slightly shining paint full with tiny intricate details, what i believe to be the familly insignia is also painted in gold at the pointed edges of her cape. The Beautifull golden belt is filled with very realistic looking semi transparent gems.

Her hair is living with motion and flowing full of details, her skin is a pretty procelain white and her clothes fully adopts the shape of her body with wrinkles and bends all over, they even thought of adding the sewing line at the sides of the stockings. Another high note about this figure is the eyes, whoever made it was able to exacly catch Shinra's intense and dominating gaze wich is her trademark.

Sadly since the game and anime series arent very well known, this is one of the masterpieces that escaped the sight of many collectors despite being one of the highest quality figure yet seen. As for me she occupies one of the best spots in my collection.

From the popular series K-On!, comes a rendition of Akiyama Mio in maid outfit in a pose that has now become a legend in otakudom, Moe moe Kyun!!!

It flows whit life and movement whit the flowing hair and clothes, the embarased expression on her face is adorable and the maid outfit is nicely done, complete whit some wrinkling of the fabric caused by the movement.

The overall finish looks very good, however i think the hair could have been slightly more detailed and the mouth seem to be a little strange. Overall this figure is very cute and a nice piece of collection that even non K-On! fans would find reasons to like.

Whit her cross mirage weapon that can be configured into all four versions seen thru the series, inlcuding a firing effect part, this makes this figma one whit the most versatile single accesorie yet since Vita. Also included are 2 extra facial expression but also an extra hair piece to make her look like she has her hair down as seen at the end of StrikerS.

In the anime, Teana is part of the special force founded by Hayate, Nanoha and Fate and is the direct subordinate of Nanoha, wich is reflected on her uniform having similarities whit the one Nanoha wears while transformed.

K-on!'s freshman member of the light music club has her been figmatized. She is super adorable, reflecting the full charm she expressed in the show.

Azusa comes whit 3 different facial expressions, a Nekomimi band (pictured below), a very detailed electric guitar model wich is complete whit a soft strap and a pvc bag to store it in.

I really like this figma, especially whit the Nekomimi wich makes her super cute and the addition of instrument carrying bags for the K-On! set is a nice and smart idea. Also as a smart move on max factory's part, it seems they started to make figures on order for every 2nd release, wich is essentially making a set ammount based on pre-order demand from shops, ensuring that popular figures like this one will be available to as many collectors as possible.

The newest release of Alter's line of magnificent and high quality figure of the Nanoha series. This time in the battle form of the usually small and cute Vivio. It is vibrant whit the energy and power Nanoha characters are known for and flows whit beauty.

In the series, Vivio is usually only a small 10 year old child but trought some event, grows to becomes this powerfull force threatening the Midchilda world, capable of going even agaisnt Nanona in full power.

The figure rendition stays true to this perception, keeping the menacing dark armoured appearance in black leather whit her long blond hair tied in a single side tail and a powerfull expression of anger reflecting on her youthfull face.

A worthy piece of any collection that will be of large interest to dedicated Nanoha fans.

Released last month, this charming edition of Fate Testarossa in the school uniform has seen the light after a being reschedualed twice from January.

It is a simple yet very cute figure coming whit lots of accesories, 2 sets of hair ribbons wich can be switched, her familiar Arf in puppy mode, a schoolbag, two different facial expressions and Bardiche, her intelligent device. Unlike Nanoha's release, wich was only available as a bundle whit the psp game this one is available as is.

I think she looks great, whit her long twintails held by ribbons and her pure white uniform she's absolutely adorable, hiding her true self as a powerfull Mahou Shoujo. The addition of arf is really neat too.

Nendoroid Petit - Fate / Stay Night Collection

From goodsmile comes a new series of nendoroid petit, this time themed on Fate - Stay Night.
It is a set of 11 different pieces, each coming randomly in a closed box (note that Rider's mask is removable so an unmasked version whit the same pose isnt a different piece).

Something to note whit this collection however, the first 6 pieces are remakes of another trading figure collection previously released by Goodsmile and Alter around 2006. The Saber in PJ was actually the secret of that collection.
Sadly these previous figures had the flaws of the time and eventually started to bend, a problem since solved, especially whit nendoroid petit wich are very compact and sturdy.

The third release of Saber in figma format by Max Factory, this time the Dark Incarnation of Saber from the game's Heaven's Feel Scenario, Saber Alter.

She comes complete with her Dark Excalibur and removable mask as well as two exchangeble faces. This figma looks to be of a much higher quality in both build, finish and durability compared to the revoltech version who has a sort of bloated face whit blank looking eyes and weak joints.

Saber Beach Queens collection by Wave

Swimsuit figures usually are never my thing, but with all things there are always exception and this is one of them. Dressed whit her signature white bikini, wave brought us this Saber that is part of a larger set ranging from K-On!, Fate or Macross characters.

As I said previously, I'm not crazy about swimsuit figures and the Wave series isn't very high in quality, however when I saw THIS one I lost breath for a moment. With her 2nd head allowing Saber to pose whit her hair flowing along the wind, I was sold instantly, it is simply beautiful.
